The SBB Historical Heritage Foundation takes you from the past to the present, through over 180 years of Swiss railway history. At various locations, the various witnesses from the cultural and economic history of Switzerland as a railway country are accessible to the public.
In the depot in Erstfeld you can experience the legendary locomotives of the Gotthard railway. Erstfeld is also the starting point for the historic "San Gottardo" adventure trips to Ticino via the historic Gotthard railroad.
