The Ballyana Archive strives to preserve the heritage of the industrial history of the Schönenwerd region – the Bally shoe factories in particular. The permanent exhibition presents a piece of Swiss industrial history in an authentic atmosphere, with old textile and shoe production machinery taking visitors back to the end of the 19th century.
Various machines, as well as historical shoes, ribbons, boxes, advertising brochures and documents, shed light on the most diverse aspects of this area of industry and the Bally family
